I know what it feels like when every dollar matters. So, I’ve intentionally designed our business model to address your needs and what works well for both of us.

  • Upfront investment in you. I insist on investing time up front to understand your situation. Our discovery process — including a written analysis with observations and recommendations is free - aside from an investment of time together. I’ll give you the outputs whether or not you choose to hire us.

  • Maximizing value, together. Every client has more needs than budget. Our job is to shape the scope together so we can deliver the most value possible for what you’re willing or able to invest. Most often we start with a short, low-cost engagement to manage risk especially if we haven’t worked together before.

  • Transparent and fixed fees. Non-transactional - no hourly creep, timesheets or surprises. Fixed-fee pricing means we can both reliably budget. And it removes the pressure of a cap of hours that often causes cost-conscious clients to exclude us in critical conversations or asking for more help. If you or I discover a change in your situation or objectives, my first priority is to not change the contract. If it’s significant, we simply have a conversation and figure it out together.

  • External experts: If we need to include 3rd party expertise to our project, we contract them since we have accountability for their contributions and outputs. If we determine you need to engage an external expert or firm for new need or project, we’ll help you choose the right one, make introductions, and support your efforts to contract and engage them - no strings attached.

  • Open sharing. We don’t hide behind intellectual property. That’s consultant BS - “sign the SOW and I’ll share.” Three reasons: I want you to understand where we are coming from and how we think. While I’d love to believe we’re brilliant, but this is common-sense stuff. Finally, I’m confident our value is in our experience and knowing how to apply these concepts, tools, models, and methods to your situation.

I won’t “sell” you our services - that doesn’t work for the relationship-based work we do. You have to choose to “buy” because you’ve learned how we work, I’ve earned your trust, and most importantly you think we can provide value.
